Look around,
See how life moves on.
See that old lady with her hat,
See that child holding his mother’s hand.
See that sparrow flying above,
See this world, so full of love.

Turn around,
See how time ticks on.
Cherish everything before it’s gone.
See that couple across the street,
See those lovebirds in their tree.
Halt your steps and feel that breeze,
Appreciate everything that you see.

Close your eyes,
Hear the sounds of life.
The river gurgling happily away,
The leaves rustling as trees sway.
Cathedral bells that start to toll,
Bees that buzz and doves that coo.
The simple joys of life all start small,
May you enjoy your days more and more.

Step outside,
Feel the warm sunlight on your skin.
See those flowers blooming in the spring,
Red cherries bright against their leaves.
The children are playing hide and seek,
Their tinkling laughter echoes in the wind.
I stood under the tree, watching this scene,
Hoping someone would join me,
And set me free.

Listen to me,
Know that I had loved you,
But you did not know.
For you were too busy,
Staring at your phone,
To notice I was there waiting,
Standing alone.
Life is so unique and beautiful, but sometimes we just don't appreciate it enough as we are too busy looking at our phones or some other modern contraption.
